I am Tamara ‘Meezer’ Clarke known as the RedCoatCat I also work on a online graphic novel titled Loyalty & Liberty.

I am fascinated with 18th Century history in North America because of that I am a historical re enactor of the American War of Independence.
So I buy a lot of wool, hand sew clothing, only to call black powder in my teeth, heatstroke and sleeping on the ground ‘fun’.

I'm originally from a large island in BC Canada, I now reside in Concord MA USA with my husband Shane and our two small cats.

When it comes to critique I feel validation is almost as important.

KITTIES....and 18th Century History. <3

Just curious though; having not read all the way through your comic yet I've noticed in your gallery pretty much all of your characters are cats. In the world they inhabit are they all cats or are there other animal species as well?

Also, I am so showing this to my mom. She's very much into Civil War/Revolutionary War era stuff as well as cats. <3 Oh, and your art is first rate! It's so refreshing to see an art style reminiscent of the olden days ala Beatrix Potter and Aesop's Fables. The details in your artwork and characters - and their fashion - is truly inspiring and commendable. These days it feels like most anthropomorphic comics are mostly pornographic in nature which is very confusing to me. lol

Thank you!
Original concept I had dogs and cats (fighting like dogs and cats hah-haaa) keeping them region specific to show growing differences between Colonies and their origins in Europe since they are only metaphorical animals not literally the animals.
I decided to go with just cats of wild-domestic varieties for Loyalty & Liberty for uniformity.
Thank you I take a lot of influence from classic fairy tales, it's what drew me to anthropomorphic work to being with! :)

Yah, there is a lot of adult work in this genre of art, while I have no interest in that aspect I see it as almost every genre/community of art out there has it's adult side.

Amazing gallery

My Dream is to become an amazing artist and follow in the footsteps of Chris Michael Sanders. I have so many ideas but laziness, art weaknesses, and my drawing hand get's in my way.
:icondeerock-gorilla:
I wonder if I asked you about this yet. Have you read "Apocalpyse Meow" (originally known as "Cat Shit One")? Because I swear the way you draw characters would work seamlessly with this title.
:iconredcoatcat:
I've HEARD of it, haven't read it. :)

Its an interesting series for sure. I didn't collect the whole series but it did make quite a bit of impression on me.

And check this out. Someone is making a CGI and updated version of Cat Shit One. With more modern set-up.
